  2. HOLY S#%T!!!! We need to bottle whatever you have and send it to every transplant patient in the world!! Emily I know you've heard it hundreds of times, but you are freaking AMAZING!! Walking a mile less than 48 hours after your "bump" is nothing short of incredible. The surgery itself was a miracle and you are handling it so bravely. I can't wait to read the book that is surely going to follow this extraordinary adventure of yours.
Peg, what do you think of your incredible daughter? I think everyone has used every adjective available to describe Emily. We're going to have to start making up words!!
My love and joy and tears to you all,

    Nita

  3. Em, We have now started the "2 ear Plan" as Deej left this am for Honduras. Keep up the good work and we are so proud of you. Bob just said "that's sensational" when told of your "miler". You are setting a very high bar for those that follow. Keep up the good work and we'll talk to you soon. Thanks again for the update. love, Gay

  4. Amen to Nita's post. Emily, if you only knew how many people are praying for you and your Mom and Dad! And in thanks to Nicky for all she has done to help and support you all. Keep up the good work, but don't overdo. Keith, we are so grateful for your very informative updates. Please keep 'em coming! Peg, I hope you are doing well and taking care of yourself. This is my fourth post, but I haven't been able to get them to work. Judy told me to do it this way - hope it gets thru!Love and hugs and many more prayers coming your way . . . Patti

  5. Well Em, if you can make it a mile with all you have going on I guess I can get up off the couch and walk a mile as well. Cosby will be so happy you inspired me as walks have been few and far between lately. Ok, you keep up those laps and Coz and I are out the door as well. love ya Em

  6. Well Emily I was going to take the day off from the gym. But if you're walking a mile with 4 chest tubes and a new set of lungs, I have no excuse. Thanks for the motivation, keep up the great work!!
    Take care, Katie

  10. Em, Yeah, I too second Aunt Nita's post. You are amazing! And I definitely look forward to reading the book that I agree should follow these adventures. You remain in our prayers as do you both, Aunt Peggy & Uncle Kieth. Our love to you all...and Emily, Russ is right, you are a superstar!

  11. Hey there Superwoman! A mile already, 1 week after transplant! You should do advertisements for the CF foundation about hope for folks with CF. Now if the air leaky lungs would cooperate and seal up, all will be well. I am trying to picture your room all decorated...Believe it or not, I had bought some Tibetan Prayer Flags from a museum here to send to you (I have a tiny set of them hanging in my room in Philly, but these are a little bigger) but now that I know you have some hanging already, I put them up in my Chicago bedroom. Keep healing Em, breath by breath and step by step. We are all cheering you on with loving thoughts and prayers. I miss you! Love, Gina
